Biblical prophecy gives insight into a time of tribulation in which there will be one-world government, one-world bank, and a one-world religion that will be ruled by the anti-christ. Although the Bible doesn’t say exactly when these such events will occur, God has provided those who believe with clues of events that will happen.

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. (Luke 21:10-12)"

The US Army is seeking bids on “Riot Equipment” and rumors have been circulating concerning the possibility of martial law, and the creation of FEMA “detention centers” prisons located throughout the entire United States.






















Ask yourself…

Why does a military who’s responsibility it is to protect America and American citizens need riot gear?
If the government is closing Guantanamo Bay and withdrawing US troops from the middle east, then why do they need detention centers throughout this country?

After attempting to find information on the creation of these detention centers, Glenn Beck admits that he has been unable to debunk any future plans of mass incarceration of US citizens.






Furthermore... If you are watching the stock market, you will notice that despite the plan for massive government spending, the stock market has been in constant decline.

Now think about it...
Wouldn't a collapse of the US economy be the perfect excuse to force the United States into a one-world banking system as predicted in prophecy?
Could the possibility of angry US citizens who have lost all of their retirement, 401Ks, IRAs, personal investments, and savings with no one but the government and corrupt politicians to blame cause a civil unrest that could create an opportunity to impose martial law?

All of those who were seeking “Hope” and “Change,” in the 2008 election of Barack Obama, as promised, “Change is Coming.” I only hope that all of you are ready. I am sure that there will be likely be critics who will attempt to discredit, discount and encourage you to ignore what I have shared. This should be of trivial concern because it is expected and has been foretold.

“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. (2 Peter 3:3-4)”

In closing, I truly pray that all of us a nation and as individuals believe, trust, and have hope in Jesus Christ alone, repent of our sins, and ask God for forgiveness, wisdom, and understanding. I will also pray that each of us makes a concerted effort to read our Bibles everyday. It is only through faith in God that you will have the ability to see the devils schemes. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:7)." The god of this world is busy, and bridegroom cometh, so please don’t be a foolish virgin.

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)”

This march is about preserving the constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, about getting back to the moral roots of our forefathers and the original intent of this country. It’s about holding our elected officials responsible and accountable or we won't vote for them again. It’s about freedom of speech, and all issues that oppose “We the People” and support large controlling government.

"Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. (1 Peter 2:13-14)"

Some people may find this difficult to understand, but my position is, was, and will continue to remain the same. My past, present, future and eternal happiness is not the least bit dependent upon something as trivial as who wins or doesn't win elections. While some people choose to seek hope and change from politicians while chanting "Yes we can." My hope is built on faith in He who never lies and never changes.

Yes He did, Yes He is, and Yes He will - from eternity to eternity forever and ever. A-men.

In life God sometimes allows us to be tested as he grooms us into what He wants us to be. My test on this occasion was to maintain a firm moral foundation base on my relationship with Him in the face of worldly opposition. God wants us to love, worship, and depend on Him completely. I believe that the more difficult the test then the greater the eternal reward. If I were never tested, then I would have doubts about my ability to be used for His service. I don’t expect those who don’t believe, or those who place little value in a relationship with Jesus Christ or the Bible to understand, but that is my belief. My hope and prayer is that each one of us will allow our faith to grow so that God can provide the understanding. In the entirety of human history, our lives represent a very small window of opportunity in which to accept the HOPE that Jesus has to offer. In my opinion, that is the one and only vote or decision that will ever really and truly matter.

Why I Can't Vote For Obama

Dear Friends, A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an email with a few points. With the election just around the corner I decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen some of this before but it's worth repeating...

First I must say whoever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.

Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness. I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms He does because He is the leader.

I can't vote black because I am black; I have to vote Christian because that's who I am. Christian first, black second. Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I won't be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few, wrong economic concerns will soon not matter.

We need to follow Martin Luther King's words, don't judge someone by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record. His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.

To beat Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton as the most liberal senator, takes some doing. Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with.

There is a reason Planned Parenthood gives him a 100 % rating. There is a reason the homosexual community supports him. There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc. love him. There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court. There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill. There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion. There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.

Let's take a look at the practice he wanted to continue

The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedures:

A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's leg with forceps. (Remember this is a live baby)
B. The baby's leg is pulled out into the birth canal.
C. The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head.
D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.
E. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.

God help him. There is a reason Obama opposed the parental notification law.

Think about this: You can't give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.

There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years.

Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wright's sermons. I wonder why now?

Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19 - 20 "Go and make disciples of all nations." This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you; talk like you believe what you believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?

Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenets that said they have a ...

1. Commitment to the White Community
2. Commitment to the White Family
3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community.
5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.

Would you support a President who went to a church like that?

Just change the word from white to black and you have the tenets of Obama's former church. If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been marching outside.

This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church. The church can't be about race. Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world.

A church can't have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if it is a white church or a black church it's still wrong. Anyone from either race that attends a church like this would never get my vote.

Obama's former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation. Cone once wrote: "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.

Cone is the man Obama's mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?

So what does all this mean for the nation?

In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to lead a nation it meant one thing - judgment.

Read 1 Samuel 8 when Israel asked for a king. First God says in 1 Samuel 1:9 "Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do."

Then God says

1 Samuel 1:18 " When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day." 19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. "No!" they said. "We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles." 21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, "Listen to them and give them a king."

Here is what we know for sure.

God is not schizophrenic

He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain. As the scripture says, a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.

Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt it.

For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in the face and say; Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion. He might have to nominate three or four Supreme Court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against you. I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this. I know I can look the other way because of the economy.

I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama's positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends.

Since we know someone's value system has to be placed on the nation,

1. Whose value system should be placed on the nation.
2. Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?

As I have mentioned in previous blogs, we live in a wicked world that is under a very strong influence of the forces of evil and the prince of this world.

Whenever you see someone making a mockery of those of faith who have a religious and moral foundation, then there should be absolutely no doubt about exactly "who" is ultimately behind it. There should also be no need to have doubt about the political affiliations or political leanings of the person or group involved. Without calling of the name of any political affiliation, party or persuasion, almost anyone will recognize that those who support and produce "comedy" of this nature are usually of the same political persuasion as those that:
-oppose the protection of unborn children
-oppose those who use moral and values based standards to make political decisions
-oppose the defense of traditional family values
-oppose the existence of "absolute good" and "absolute evil" in favor of "it depends on your point of view."
-oppose homeschooling, religious and faith based education, school vouchers, and anything that promotes education outside of their "system" of indoctrination.
- oppose a free market capitalism, and the free exchange of goods and services among free people.
- oppose the elimination of the death penalty as punishment for criminals.
-support the modern day slave trade in the form of the international importation of low-wage, unskilled, illegal alien labor from other countries.
-support the removal of prayer from public schools, removal of the 10 Commandments from the Courthouse Square, and the removal of all symbols and signs that the United States is "One Nation Under God."
-support "Religious pluralism" and a belief that all religion is created equal.
-support socialism, communism and other forms of government that limit God given freedom.
-support huge government, an internationalist "one world" government and an international world court controlled a central authority.
-support for non-traditional, non-heterosexual, or unholy matrimony.
-support legalization of illegal drugs, prostitution, sexual deviant behavior, and a "whatever feels good" society.
-support extreme environmentalism and animal rights (i.e. worshiping of the creation vs. worshiping of the Creator.)

Nevertheless.

The in our brief 200 year history, United States of America has been the most productive and prosperous nation in the history of the world. Why?

1. Our motto is "One Nation Under God." "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance." (Psalm 33:12)
2. Our nations defense of the Nation of Israel. "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed (Genesis 12:3)"

To my brothers and sisters in Christ:

The worldly attacks on faith and the marginalization of morals will become a lot worse in the times to come. Opposition to the evils of society will be viewed as intolerance and those who speak against it and refuse to participate will be criminalized or viewed as insane. This nation will cease to exist as the result of our abandonment of God and abandonment of Israel. In the face of adversity, I encourage all of you to stay strong, resist the devils schemes, and keep "...[p]raying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,...(Ephesians 6:18-19)"

"And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. (Luke 12:39-40)"

Political candidates and their surrogates will use any means possible to gain political support. Their love for the world and their desire of worldly gain and political power is without limits. Since telling lies has not produce the desired results in political polls, they have resorted to using a new political strategy. BLASPHEMY!!!.



Although Scripture says, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him" (1 John 2:15), in the messed of logic of the demented minds of these power obsesses people...

Barack Obama = Community Organizer like Jesus
Governor Sarah Palin = Governor like Pontius Pilate

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6) but he never said, "I am the community organizer." Jesus Christ is man and God, he was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. Does this sound like the job description of a community organizer?

On the other hand, although Barack Obama saith, "I am the ONE we have been waiting for," Barack Obama is only a man. He was not conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, or lived a sinless life. Barack Obama did not turn water into wine, walk on water, raise the dead, give sight to the blind, or rise from the dead to ascend into heaven to be with Barack Obama, Sr. Most importantly, a "community organizer" will NOT be your advocate as you face judgment before Almighty God.

Jesus said, "...He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." (John 6:47)

Obama says that He that believeth in "Change" and "Hope" should vote for me, but he does not provide a reassurance or guarantee of everlasting life.

Do you understand the HUGE difference?

Nevertheless, the Bible warns us that "... there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction." (2 Peter 2:1)

To equate Barak Obama with Jesus is one such "damnable heresy." Not only are the surrogates of Barack Obama willing to blaspheme the name of Jesus for the acquisition of political power, they are also Biblical incorrect in their insinuation that Pontius Pilate was somehow in opposition to the actions of Jesus.

God's Word says, "Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all." (John 18:38) and "Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him." (John 19:4)

Since the devil and his servants are unable to believe or comprehend matters of faith, the inability of the devil's angels to understand that which is clearly stated in Scripture is not at all a surprise. This goes to show that if you don't read God's Word and have faith, then you increase the likelihood that you will be mislead by the lies of an evil world. I urge you to please do not allow yourself to be manipulated by the "prince of this world." Understand that ONLY those opposed to God would lie about Jesus, support "Unholy Matrimony" (i.e. Sodomy), and permit the killing of unborn children.

In closing, just a reminder...

"And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life." (1 John 5:19-20)

In this wicked world, you are free to make your political decisions as you wish. However, if a political campaign is willing to use the name of Jesus to deceive for political gain, then you can be certain that the original master of deception (i.e. Genesis 3:1) is campaigning for your support as well.

Oh, wait a minute. That's not a bat, actually. In fact, when you trace the outline with your finger, it looks kind of like . . . a "W."

There seems to me no question that the Batman film "The Dark Knight," currently breaking every box office record in history, is at some level a paean of praise to the fortitude and moral courage that has been shown by George W. Bush in this time of terror and war. Like W, Batman is vilified and despised for confronting terrorists in the only terms they understand. Like W, Batman sometimes has to push the boundaries of civil rights to deal with an emergency, certain that he will re-establish those boundaries when the emergency is past.

And like W, Batman understands that there is no moral equivalence between a free society -- in which people sometimes make the wrong choices -- and a criminal sect bent on destruction. The former must be cherished even in its moments of folly; the latter must be hounded to the gates of Hell.

"The Dark Knight," then, is a conservative movie about the war on terror. And like another such film, last year's "300," "The Dark Knight" is making a fortune depicting the values and necessities that the Bush administration cannot seem to articulate for beans.

Conversely, time after time, left-wing films about the war on terror -- films like "In The Valley of Elah," "Rendition" and "Redacted" -- which preach moral equivalence and advocate surrender, that disrespect the military and their mission, that seem unable to distinguish the difference between America and Islamo-fascism, have bombed more spectacularly than Operation Shock and Awe.

Why is it then that left-wingers feel free to make their films direct and realistic, whereas Hollywood conservatives have to put on a mask in order to speak what they know to be the truth? Why is it, indeed, that the conservative values that power our defense -- values like morality, faith, self-sacrifice and the nobility of fighting for the right -- only appear in fantasy or comic-inspired films like "300," "Lord of the Rings," "Narnia," "Spiderman 3" and now "The Dark Knight"?

The moment filmmakers take on the problem of Islamic terrorism in realistic films, suddenly those values vanish. The good guys become indistinguishable from the bad guys, and we end up denigrating the very heroes who defend us. Why should this be?

The answers to these questions seem to me to be embedded in the story of "The Dark Knight" itself: Doing what's right is hard, and speaking the truth is dangerous. Many have been abhorred for it, some killed, one crucified.

Leftists frequently complain that right-wing morality is simplistic. Morality is relative, they say; nuanced, complex. They're wrong, of course, even on their own terms.

Left and right, all Americans know that freedom is better than slavery, that love is better than hate, kindness better than cruelty, tolerance better than bigotry. We don't always know how we know these things, and yet mysteriously we know them nonetheless.

The true complexity arises when we must defend these values in a world that does not universally embrace them -- when we reach the place where we must be intolerant in order to defend tolerance, or unkind in order to defend kindness, or hateful in order to defend what we love.

When heroes arise who take those difficult duties on themselves, it is tempting for the rest of us to turn our backs on them, to vilify them in order to protect our own appearance of righteousness. We prosecute and execrate the violent soldier or the cruel interrogator in order to parade ourselves as paragons of the peaceful values they preserve. As Gary Oldman's Commissioner Gordon says of the hated and hunted Batman, "He has to run away -- because we have to chase him."

That's real moral complexity. And when our artistic community is ready to show that sometimes men must kill in order to preserve life; that sometimes they must violate their values in order to maintain those values; and that while movie stars may strut in the bright light of our adulation for pretending to be heroes, true heroes often must slink in the shadows, slump-shouldered and despised -- then and only then will we be able to pay President Bush his due and make good and true films about the war on terror.

Perhaps that's when Hollywood conservatives will be able to take off their masks and speak plainly in the light of day.

And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.

The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.

When he was twelve years old, they found him in the temple in the City of Chicago, arguing the finer points of community organisation with the Prophet Jeremiah and the Elders. And the Elders were astonished at what they heard and said among themselves: “Verily, who is this Child that he opens our hearts and minds to the audacity of hope?”

In the great Battles of Caucus and Primary he smote the conniving Hillary, wife of the deposed King Bill the Priapic and their barbarian hordes of Working Class Whites.

And so it was, in the fullness of time, before the harvest month of the appointed year, the Child ventured forth - for the first time - to bring the light unto all the world.

He travelled fleet of foot and light of camel, with a small retinue that consisted only of his loyal disciples from the tribe of the Media. He ventured first to the land of the Hindu Kush, where the Taleban had harboured the viper of al-Qaeda in their bosom, raining terror on all the world.

And the Child spake and the tribes of Nato immediately loosed the Caveats that had previously bound them. And in the great battle that ensued the forces of the light were triumphant. For as long as the Child stood with his arms raised aloft, the enemy suffered great blows and the threat of terror was no more.

From there he went forth to Mesopotamia where he was received by the great ruler al-Maliki, and al-Maliki spake unto him and blessed his Sixteen Month Troop Withdrawal Plan even as the imperial warrior Petraeus tried to destroy it.

And lo, in Mesopotamia, a miracle occurred. Even though the Great Surge of Armour that the evil Bush had ordered had been a terrible mistake, a waste of vital military resources and doomed to end in disaster, the Child's very presence suddenly brought forth a great victory for the forces of the light.

And the Persians, who saw all this and were greatly fearful, longed to speak with the Child and saw that the Child was the bringer of peace. At the mention of his name they quickly laid aside their intrigues and beat their uranium swords into civil nuclear energy ploughshares.

From there the Child went up to the city of Jerusalem, and entered through the gate seated on an ass. The crowds of network anchors who had followed him from afar cheered “Hosanna” and waved great palm fronds and strewed them at his feet.

In Jerusalem and in surrounding Palestine, the Child spake to the Hebrews and the Arabs, as the Scripture had foretold. And in an instant, the lion lay down with the lamb, and the Israelites and Ishmaelites ended their long enmity and lived for ever after in peace.

As word spread throughout the land about the Child's wondrous works, peoples from all over flocked to hear him; Hittites and Abbasids; Obamacons and McCainiacs; Cameroonians and Blairites.

And they told of strange and wondrous things that greeted the news of the Child's journey. Around the world, global temperatures began to decline, and the ocean levels fell and the great warming was over.

The Great Prophet Algore of Nobel and Oscar, who many had believed was the anointed one, smiled and told his followers that the Child was the one generations had been waiting for.

And there were other wonderful signs. In the city of the Street at the Wall, spreads on interbank interest rates dropped like manna from Heaven and rates on credit default swaps fell to the ground as dead birds from the almond tree, and the people who had lived in foreclosure were able to borrow again.

Black gold gushed from the ground at prices well below $140 per barrel. In hospitals across the land the sick were cured even though they were uninsured. And all because the Child had pronounced it.

And this is the testimony of one who speaks the truth and bears witness to the truth so that you might believe. And he knows it is the truth for he saw it all on CNN and the BBC and in the pages of The New York Times.

Then the Child ventured forth from Israel and Palestine and stepped onto the shores of the Old Continent. In the land of Queen Angela of Merkel, vast multitudes gathered to hear his voice, and he preached to them at length.

But when he had finished speaking his disciples told him the crowd was hungry, for they had had nothing to eat all the hours they had waited for him.

And so the Child told his disciples to fetch some food but all they had was five loaves and a couple of frankfurters. So he took the bread and the frankfurters and blessed them and told his disciples to feed the multitudes. And when all had eaten their fill, the scraps filled twelve baskets.

Thence he travelled west to Mount Sarkozy. Even the beauteous Princess Carla of the tribe of the Bruni was struck by awe and she was great in love with the Child, but he was tempted not.

On the Seventh Day he walked across the Channel of the Angles to the ancient land of the hooligans. There he was welcomed with open arms by the once great prophet Blair and his successor, Gordon the Leper, and his successor, David the Golden One.

And suddenly, with the men appeared the archangel Gabriel and the whole host of the heavenly choir, ranks of cherubim and seraphim, all praising God and singing: “Yes, We Can.”

Barack Obama’s pastor, Jeremiah Wright, has become (in)famous for making the following statements:

“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye.”

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.” (Sep 2001)

On March 18, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Barack Obama responded to Jeremiah Wright’s comments, with the following statements:

“I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy. For some, nagging questions remain. Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely – just as I'm sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.”

“Why associate myself with Reverend Wright in the first place, they may ask? Why not join another church? And I confess that if all that I knew of Reverend Wright were the snippets of those sermons that have run in an endless loop on the television and You Tube, or if Trinity United Church of Christ conformed to the caricatures being peddled by some commentators, there is no doubt that I would react in much the same way.”

“I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe."

On April 28, Wright's voiced his disapproval of Obama's unequivocal condemnation of his statements. Before the National Press Club, in Washington DC he returned with an attack on Obama. In a response to the question, “What is your motivation for characterizing Senator Obama’s response to you as, quote, “what a politician had to say”? What do you mean by that?” Jeremiah Wright said:

“Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls, Huffington, whoever’s doing the polls. Preachers say what they say because they’re pastors.”

Today, after Jeremiah Wright basically said that Obama is a politician that will say whatever he needs to say to get elected, Barack Obama finally denounces Jeremiah Wright. The following are a few of his statements:

“What became clear to me is that he was presenting a world view that contradicts who I am and what I stand for, and what I think particularly angered me was his suggestion somehow that my previous denunciation of his remarks were somehow political posturing. Anybody who knows me and anybody who knows what I'm about knows that I am about trying to bridge gaps and I see the commonality in all people."

"I have been a member of Trinity United Church of Christ since 1992, and have known Reverend Wright for 20 years. The person I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago."

"His comments were not only divisive and destructive, I believe they end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate."

I agree with Obama. Wright’s comments are divisive and destructive and that he is presenting a world view that contradicts what many Americans stand for. But, it doesn't take a genius (or degree from Harvard) to realize that "G** d*** America" and Exodus 20:7 are in contradiction.

However, I must disagree that the person Obama says he saw yesterday is “…not the person that I met 20 years ago.” Jeremiah Wright has been the same person for a very long time. Yesterday, he defended many of the same statements that he has made for years, and there is audio and video to prove it. In my opinion, I believe that Obama failed to see the obvious for many years, and only realizes it now because of the potential negative effect on his political aspirations.

What I want to know is… What took Barack Obama so long to see the real Jeremiah Wright? Why did it take him over 20 years to realize what many people realized in less than 5 minutes? Why did he associate with Reverend Wright in the first place?

What is interesting is that Jeremiah Wright’s appearance before the National Press Club was coordinated by Rev. Barbara Reynolds who is an adjunct professor at the Howard University School of Divinity, and a huge Hillary Clinton supporter. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise.
